N/AAbout the reserve
This remote and undisturbed island in Co Fermanagh is a mosaic of parkland, ancient and wet woodland fringed by reedbed. Although no longer inhabited, the island is still traditionally managed through mowing and light grazing with goats.
Some interesting species found on Inishcreagh include the rare horn stalkball fungus, which only grows on the horns of goats and sheep.
At Inishcreagh we make regular visits to monitor the species and habitats.
As the nature reserve is privately owned, it is not open to the public.
