About the reserve

Edenderry lies along the Lagan River, leading into Belfast.   This small nature reserve is comprised of a woodland and wet woodland quite close to each other.   Several specimen trees can be found in the woodland – including beech, spanish chestnut, and yew - which offer sanctuary to wonderful wildflowers and beautiful birds.  Look out for song thrushes, jays, treecreepers and goldcrests.
