From the pollan — a rare glacial relict found only in Ireland — to iconic species like eel, dollaghan, and trout, discover how these fish contribute to the natural balance of the lough and sustain its rich fishing heritage. This talk will explore their ecological importance, the challenges they face in a changing environment, and their enduring cultural and economic significance to the region.
