Whether you made a one-off donation or upgraded your membership subscription, your support will help safeguard the 18 precious wildlife havens in our care, from wildflower-rich grasslands and ancient woodlands to the hundreds of priority species which call them home.
Our nature reserves provide a vital haven for wildlife such as red squirrels and orchids to survive, thrive, and spread across the countryside in the face of development, pollution, and invasive species. Maintaining their ongoing quality and condition is essential if we are to create a strong and resilient foundation for nature’s recovery.
Your support will help us continue our vital work on these sites, from carrying out practical conservation tasks and maintaining access, to surveying wildlife. This includes –
- Keeping invasive trees and shrubs in check at our Glenarm Nature Reserve, so that its fragile ancient oaks can continue to thrive.
- Managing species-rich grassland at Slievenacloy Nature Reserve, for butterflies such as common blue; and
- Monitoring key bird species, such as skylark and meadow pipit at Ballynahone and Glenullin Bog Nature Reserves.
Once again, thank you for rallying behind our call; we are heartened by your kindness with 110 donations, and more than 265 of you increasing your regular membership donation.
Together, we can bring nature back.
