BRING NATURE BACK
Help protect and restore local red squirrels, barn owls, hedgehogs and much more with an Ulster Wildlife membership.
What your membership supports
As well as bringing back a variety of local wildlife, like red squirrels, barn owls and native oysters, your support can help to:
- Provide year-round care for 18 nature reserves rich in wildlife
- Restore carbon-storing peatlands for our climate
- Create opportunities to foster nature-positive attitudes in young people, farmers and government
Why Ulster Wildlife?
With 14,000 members supporting our mission to bring nature back at land and sea, we are the largest local conservation charity at home.
Our key focus is on protecting and restoring the wildlife that is native to Northern Ireland.
Making a difference, together
In 2022-23, members' support helped us to:
- Survey 200 woodlands for red squirrels, grey squirrels and pine martens
- Restore 50 hectares of peatland across three sites
- Manage 2,116 football-pitches equivalent of land for nature
- Install native oyster nurseries at Bangor Marina, Glenarm Marina and Belfast Harbour
