BRING NATURE BACK
Create wild homes for red squirrels, barn owls, hedgehogs and much more with an Ulster Wildlife membership.
What your membership supports
As well as bringing back a variety of local wildlife, like red squirrels, barn owls and native oysters, your support can help to:
- Provide year-round care for 18 nature reserves rich in wildlife
- Restore carbon-storing peatlands for our climate
- Create opportunities to foster nature-positive attitudes in young people, farmers and government
Why Ulster Wildlife?
With 14,000 members supporting our mission to bring nature back at land and sea, we are the largest local conservation charity at home.
Our key focus is on protecting and restoring the wildlife that is native to Northern Ireland.
Making a difference, together
In 2023-24, members' support helped us to:
- Fledge 35 barn owl chicks through habitat management and nest-box erection
- Manage 850 hectares of land for wildlife – equivalent to 1,190 football pitches – to create homes for local nature
- Monitor over 2,000 seabirds on Isle of Muck Nature Reserve, including kittiwakes, gannets, puffins and razorbills
- Restore 40 hectares of peatland, to lock away CO₂ and create future habitat for local wildlife
